She shrugged. "Regardless of what else may be planned, my role is to interact and socialize. Perhaps some diplomacy. Maybe some trade. Hopefully, to gain something useful. I'm still considering my approach."

[Laila Bridger]

"I believe my primary role will be as some insurance in case diplomacy fails..."

She shrugged and grinned a bit bashfully.

"I'm not good at much, but I do my best with what I have."

[Kannon]

"I can do the planetologist's work where it needs to be done." Xard shrugged. "Planetology is a cut-and-fit science. We are generalists my design."

"Honestly, I don't know enough about Harmonthep to know what type of visit would be best received. The hope, of course, is to find and acquire something helpful, but that should probably be done indirectly."

[Laila Bridger]

Laila didn't really have anything to add to that on her own behalf.

She'd never been to Harmonthep, and her skillset meant that she'd be useful to the mission but incidental to any cover stories.

But.

"Hadrian's been there before, hopefully he'll know who's best to put forward as lead. Although Xard's got a certain importance we're not going to match."
