The Muadh call this place simply The Trial. A perpendicular cliff emerging straight up from the rainforest for several hundred metres. It's not just the hight, but also the geology that makes any ascent prohibitively difficult: weathered sandstone mixes here with sharp, igneous basalts underneath it. There is no recollection in Muadh communal memory, at least not one the Old Mother would share, for anyone to have climbed it, and most of them see it as a testament to humility they should have in the face of any of the God's tests.

Should one brave The Trial, it might have a religious significance.
