The power flowed into the shield smoothly as planned, with some minimal arcing that only caught him once and a bit of charring around the port. If he'd planned on just hitting his shield and being done with it, he'd let nature run its course. However, he had bigger plans. Plans that required this thrown together charging station to last longer.

Ambrose took out another regrowth injection and cautiously applied its payload into the exposed flesh... Maybe that's why the electricity was arcing. Oh well, he needed access so he could monitor its status and make adjustments as called for.

After several, long, lingering minutes, the familiar buzz of the Holtzman Effect could be heard and a slight shimmer in the air seen. Ambrose dialed back the charge port and detached the shield. Eager to see the results, he donned his personal shield and toggled it on and off a few times, pleased with the results.

Pumping his fist in the air, Ambrose looked around and realized no one else was there to share the excitement of what he'd accomplished. That's okay, because this was just the test, an expendable resource if it didn't work out. The real prize was the two sets of fuels cells at the thopters.

(OOC) But that would be all my regrowth injections :o . A worthy sacrifice.

Also, the shock getting this is very appropriate given the thread title.

By evening's end, he was able to do one full recharging run to the be-jungled thopter, restoring its suspensor propulsion (though not yet the shield)!

[+10 XP is merited for conceptualising, carrying out and fantastically roleplaying the whole thing!]
